Agreement for Wedding Photography
This contract is valid from May 30, 2023, and applies to all agreements entered into with me, Kristjan Løk, hereinafter referred to as the "photographer," and the customer stated above, hereinafter referred to as the "customer."
Terms
This contract obligates the customer to inform the photographer of significant changes in the day's schedule in a reasonable time before the wedding, such as start times, addresses, and similar details. The photographer cannot be held accountable for any delays or absences due to lack of information.
The photographer is not responsible for the lack of coverage of parts of the wedding in case of events beyond the photographer's control (force majeure). This includes, but is not limited to, incorrect address information, delays caused by the couple or the couple's guests, weather conditions, restrictions at locations, traffic conditions, road closures, accidents, and theft.
In the event that the photographer is unable to attend and fulfill the task as agreed in this contract due to an injury, illness, accident, or similar circumstances beyond the photographer's control, the photographer will do everything in their power to find a replacement. In the event of the photographer's cancellation, all payments made will be refunded to the customer or transferred to the photographer who is found as a replacement. This point is determined by the customer.
Delivery of photographs
The photographer will sort, select, and edit photos and subsequently deliver:
Sneak peek: A small selection of highlights from the wedding day will be edited and delivered to the customer within 1-2 working days after the wedding.
The full gallery: The complete collection of edited photographs will be delivered to the customer within 21 days after the wedding.
The delivery of photographs will take place through an online password-protected gallery, accessible only to the photographer and the customer.
Payment
Upon booking, the customer completes the form below and by submitting it, accepts the photographer's contract and terms.
An invoice will be made for the agreed amount. Payment of this invoice can be made via credit card or cash payment. This will be further discussed and agreed upon between the customer and the photographer. If the customer cancels 30 days before the wedding day, no compensation is required. However, if the customer cancels within 30 days before the wedding day, they will be required to pay 50% of the agreed amount as compensation for lost earnings. This point is only applicable if the couple cancels voluntarily and not if they are forced to cancel due to external circumstances such as pandemics, epidemics, or similar force majeure conditions.
Copyright and Use of Images
All photographs taken by the photographer are protected by copyright law. This means that the photographer holds all rights to the photographs, and they may not be copied, printed, modified, or resold without the photographer's written permission. The customer is granted a limited right to use the photographs, which means that the customer is free to print the photographs and share the edited photographs on social media, their own website, blogs, and similar platforms. It is not allowed to resell or use the edited photographs for commercial purposes without written permission from the photographer. It is not allowed to modify the edited photographs without the photographer's permission.
As a wedding photographer, exposure on websites and social media is an integral part of a photographer's work, which is why the photographer would like to have the opportunity to share a selection of the customer's wedding photos. This includes sharing them on websites, social media, wedding fairs, campaigns, and photo contests. If there are specific photographs that the customer considers particularly private and does not want the photographer to use, the customer should inform the photographer within one week of receiving the full gallery. In such cases, the consent to use will not apply to the specified images. When sharing images on social media platforms, the photographer always appreciates being credited and tagged as @weddingkristjanloek.
By signing below, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the terms and conditions of this contract and agree to be bound by them.
